Biographical Information:

Samuel Katz has been praised by The New York Times for playing with “lovely sound and lyricism”. Violinist Samuel Katz is a dedicated performer and educator. Mr. Katz has concertized extensively throughout Europe and the U.S. He currently serves on the violin faculty at the Aaron Copland School of Music, the Brearley School and has held teaching positions at the Thurnauer School of Music, the Juilliard-Nord Anglia Summer Arts Program and the Meadowmount School of Music. Samuel Katz has appeared with leading ensembles and artists. He performs regularly with the American Ballet Theater, the American Symphony Orchestra, among others ensembles. In 2020, he released a debut album, Beau Soir, with pianist Rohan De Silva. Samuel Katz holds both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from The Juilliard School, where he studied with Sally Thomas and Daniel Phillips.
