Queens College has a rich tradition of service in the military. It was estimated that 70 percent of the pioneer class of 1941 served our armed forces during World War II. A memorial to them and their service sits at the campus Quad as a constant reminder of their sacrifice. Our students and alumni have continued to serve proudly in the military throughout our 85-year history.
