Coronavirus


All individuals wishing to access campus must submit proof that they are fully vaccinated or have
tested negative for COVID-19 within the previous 7 days, in addition to following safety guidelines ondistancing and masks. (Read more about vaccination and test requirements.)

How do I gain access to campus if I am vaccinated?

Students

  1. Upload vaccination information on CUNYfirst under “Vaccination Verification” in the main menu.
    • Students registered for in-person or hybrid classes must submit proof of vaccination by September 27, 2021. All other students should submit proof of vaccination at least 10 days before a planned visit to campus.

    • Student athletes and those living in the residence hall must submit proof immediately in order to participate in sports or to move in.
    • Students who are fully vaccinated but have not submitted proof of vaccination in time to be cleared for their visit to campus must follow testing protocols. (See How to gain access to campus if I am unvaccinated/need to be tested?)

  2. Once proof of vaccination is verified via CUNYfirst (may take up to 10 days), you may access campus by presenting:
    • QCard (Read more about obtaining a QCard under Status of Programs and Services) OR
    • If you are waiting for a QCard, NYS Excelsior Pass or CDC vaccine card AND complete a Proxyclick questionnaire (must enter at the Main Gate)
    • *Everbridge VaxPass is no longer accepted for campus access.

  3. Enter the Queens College campus at any one of the following locations. All of these entrances are equipped with QCard readers:
    • Main Gate on Kissena Boulevard
    • Gate 2 on Melbourne Avenue
    • Gate 3 on Reeves Avenue
    • Campus-side entrance of Queens Hall.

Faculty and Staff

  1. Upload vaccination information on CUNYfirst under “Vaccination Verification” in the main menu. Faculty and staff may submit proof of vaccination at any time.

  2. Once proof of vaccination is verified via CUNYfirst (may take up to 10 days), you may access campus by presenting:
    • QCard - (Read more about obtaining a QCard under Status of Programs and Services) OR
    • If you are waiting for a QCard, NYS Excelsior Pass or CDC vaccine card AND complete a Proxyclick questionnaire (must enter at the Main Gate)
    • *Everbridge VaxPass is no longer accepted for campus access.

  3. Enter the Queens College campus at any one of the following locations. All of these entrances are equipped with QCard readers:
    • Main Gate on Kissena Boulevard
    • Gate 2 on Melbourne Avenue
    • Gate 3 on Reeves Avenue, or
    • Campus-side entrance of Queens Hall.

Visitors

All visitors must be approved prior to accessing the campus. Request for visitor access must be made at least 5 business days prior to the visit. 

  1. Request visitor access by submitting a visitor request form online.
  2. Once access is requested, fully vaccinated visitors will be asked to provide proof of vaccination prior to their visit. (Read more about vaccination requirements.)
  3. Visitors who are approved to visit the campus will receive an email from QCA20/Proxyclick with additional requirements and instructions on how to obtain an access pass.
  4. Once visitors meet vaccination and Proxyclick requirements to obtain an access pass, they may access the campus by presenting the access pass AND a government-issued photo identification.

 


How do I gain access to campus if I am unvaccinated/need to be tested?

Students


Important: Negative COVID-19 test results will only be accepted until October 7, 2021

unless you receive an exemption from CUNY.

 

Unvaccinated students who are attending in-person or hybrid classes or students who submitted proof of vaccination and are waiting for verification may access the campus by showing a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within the previous 7 days at a CUNY site until October 7, 2021. Students who fail to provide proof of vaccination by September 27 may be subject to potential academic withdrawal. 

  1. Book an appointment to be tested at a CUNY site. Check the email associated with your CUNYfirst account for an email from Cleared4/safeCircle with a link to setup your appointment. If you have not received a registration email, visit the Cleared4 CUNY Support Desk for troubleshooting or to submit a new support ticket. (Read more about testing requirements.)
  2. Once you have been tested, it may take 24-48 hours to receive your results. Complete the email and phone information in your Cleared4 profile to avoid delays.
  3. Results will be sent to your email and/or phone via text. Only individuals with negative tests results will be allowed to access the campus.
  4. Enter the Queens College campus at any one of the following locations and present your Clear4 access pass/QR code:
    • Main Gate on Kissena Boulevard
    • Gate 2 on Melbourne Avenue
    • Gate 3 on Reeves Avenue, or
    • Campus-side entrance of Queens Hall.​


Students attending fully remote classes 
who are unvaccinated or who submitted proof of vaccination and are waiting for verification and visit the campus for any reason may access the campus by showing a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within the previous 7 days at a CUNY site until October 7, 2021.

Only CUNY-site test results will be accepted.

RF employees will be notified to visit RFCUNY’s website and log in as an employee using their 6-digit RF-issued employee ID (EMP ID). Under the Electronic Tools tab, select Vaccination/Testing Program and follow the prompts.

Visitors

  4. Once visitors meet testing and Proxyclick requirements to obtain an access pass, they may access the campus by presenting the access pass AND a government-issued photo identification
