Special Features

 

Internships  Receive academic credit and/or a stipend for working in companies across a range of industries that reflect the diversity of interests of BALA students. Improve your career prospects while gaining practical experience in a real-world setting to facilitate more informed career decisions. 

Mentoring Opportunities  Develop a relationship with a business leader who will advise you, provide support, listen to your concerns, and offer feedback on your career-path strategies.

Computer Lab & Lounge  Our state-of-the-art lab gives you the opportunity to practice your skills, connect to the Internet, get your email, or just relax in our overstuffed chairs and couches.

Career Path Seminars  Meet with business executives to study subjects related to your career goals.

BALA Retreat  A three-day event held in a resort country setting where you will meet with BALA faculty to practice networking skills, analyze case studies, and explore international business problems. A great way to bond with classmates and faculty in a relaxed, fun setting.

Career Planning Workshops  Deal with job-search techniques, networking, and interview skills.

Special Events  BALA hosts many on-campus student events during the year. Included are informal get-togethers, as well as academic and career oriented speakers and luncheons. We also have several off campus social events, such as our BALA hike, designed to foster greater interactions between students and faculty.

Applying to the BALA Program


To apply to the BALA program, please click here to fill out and submit your application. Be sure to include the completed Declaration of Minor Form with your application (right-click and save the form to your computer, then fill it out and save it before uploading). The Honors BALA minor requires maintenance of a 3.0 overall GPA, and a 3.0 GPA in the required BALA courses.


Registration Information


For current BALA students only:
Regular online registration will operate as usual —You will register for classes through CUNYfirst on your designated date. If for some reason you are unable to register for certain BALA classes, please complete and submit the enrollment request form by clicking here. We will process the forms in the order we receive them. If there are any conflicts with your registration, we will contact you to resolve them. Please check CUNYfirst to confirm class enrollment. It may take up to 24 hours to process all requests.
