College Credit Program

The College Credit Program

  • The courses are FREE and the required textbooks are provided FREE as well.
  • The credit is transferable to other CUNY, SUNY, and private colleges.
  • Attend classes on the Queens College campus taught by Queens College faculty.
  • Choose from a wide variety of introductory-level courses and get some college requirements out of the way, or learn about an academic subject completely new to you.

If you are taking a college credit course for the first time, you choose from a list of College Now-dedicated sections of introductory-level Queens College credit courses. All students in the class are participants in the College Now program.

Returning students may again register in any of the dedicated sections of courses. Or they may choose a QC section, in which the majority of the students in the class are college students.

Students accepted into our program will get an orientation before classes begin. Throughout the semester, you will have access to an experienced mentor--a senior Queens College student--who provides advice and tutoring when necessary.

College Credit Faculty

Courses in the college credit component are taught by Queens College faculty. These professors teach the College Now sections in the same way, use the same material, and have the same expectations of their students as in the regular Queens College sections of their courses. College credit earned in these courses is transferable to any CUNY, SUNY, or private college.
