QC L​earning Commons​ 

Tutoring and Other Academic Support. Free.

​QC Learning Commons (LC) is dedicated to supporting Queens College students in achieving academic excellence by providing academic support services, success workshops and other assistance in order to help students thrive. 

All services are free. Participation is voluntary. Come once. Come regularly. 
    • Connect with others.
    • Meet with peer mentors and tutors.
    • Participate in an interactive workshop.

​▶︎ Academic Support Center (ASC): Kiely Hall 237

1. Offers tutoring to support courses in the humanities and social sciences including psychology, linguistics, economics, accounting, and languages such as French, Italian and Korean.
2. Offers tailored English grammar practice for non-native speakers who are seeking to improve accuracy. Click HERE for more information.
3. Offers support to increase student success skills for those seeking to learn how to manage time better, develop stronger study skills and strateiges, reduce stress, etc.

▶︎​ HSI STEM Peer Mentor Program: Kiely Hall 134D
Offers support in a variety of STEM courses: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Math, Environmental Science, Geology, and Physics.​

​▶︎ Immersion Program: Kiely Hall 237 (Available During Summer and Winter Sessions)

Offers intensive workshops designed to support college readiness. Focus is on skills to prepare students for English Composition and/or Mathematical & Quantitative Reasoning coursework. Instruction is tuition-free during the summer and/or winter intersession for students enrolled in specific courses in the upcoming semester.

​Offers support in writing, reading, and communication-based assignments. The Writing Center provides targeted support for English 110 and other Writing Intensives across campus​
