 Vaccination Requirements

  • For Students

    • In accordance with New York State and CUNY mandates, students attending in-person or hybrid classes must be fully vaccinated and submit proof of vaccination into CUNYfirst by January 18, 2022, unless they have been issued an exemption by CUNY (CUNY Vaccine Exemption Form). Medical exceptions and religious exemptions must be submitted 30 days before the start of classes. All religious exemption decisions are final and not subject to appeal. Email studentreligiousexemption@cuny.edu if you have questions.

The Student Vaccination Mandate applies to students participating in in-person fieldwork and clinical experiences that are required as part of coursework.

If your vaccine is approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) and you are considered fully vaccinated as specified in the WHO approval, you are fully vaccinated under CUNY policy. You can share proof of vaccination through the CUNYfirst portal. If you've received a vaccine that isn't approved by the FDA or WHO, you should email healthquestions@qc.cuny.edu to determine the appropriate course of action.

Students taking courses that are fully remote are not currently required to be vaccinated; however, all students taking remote classes who wish to visit the campus on or after October 7 for any reason must be fully vaccinated and have their vaccination documents approved in CUNYfirst prior to their visit.

Students living in the residence hall or participating in an athletic contest within CUNYAC, ECC, or NJCAA Region XV conferences must be fully vaccinated in order to move in or participate, regardless of the instructional mode of their classes.

To meet the submission deadline, students must receive the single shot of Johnson and Johnson by January 14.

Governor Hochul announced that CUNY students taking in-person or hybrid classes in Spring 2022 will be required to get a booster shot when eligible. We will share further details soon.

For any health-related questions, email healthquestions@qc.cuny.edu

  • For Faculty and Staff

    • Faculty are required to be vaccinated and staff are encouraged to be if they are working on campus.  Those who are not vaccinated and wish to access the campus must test negative for COVID-19 within 7 days of their visit. (Read more under Testing). Medical exceptions and religious exemptions must be submitted to Human Resources 30 days before the start of classes.

RF employees will be notified to visit RFCUNY’s website and log in as an employee using their 6-digit RF-issued employee ID (EMP ID). Under the Electronic Tools tab, select Vaccination/Testing Program and follow the prompts.

  • For Other Visitors

 Testing Requirements

  • Random Testing Program

    • CUNY is expanding testing for the safety and convenience of the CUNY community, using various testing models, some new and some expansions of existing efforts.

To help contain the spread of COVID-19 in our community, CUNY has increased its random testing pool size to 20% of the vaccinated and unvaccinated on-campus population.

When randomly selected to participate in a given week’s COVID-19 surveillance testing program as part of the University’s multi-pronged strategy to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 you must follow these easy steps:

      ·         Click on your Cleared4 personal link (Do not share your link)

      ·         Approve “User Consent” if it is displayed.

      ·         Update / confirm your profile information. If all fields are not complete, you will not be able to get your results.

      ·         Visit a CUNY test center as a walk-in (appointment scheduler is not available), and

      ·         Submit your COVID-19 sample by the required date.

Your test result will be posted within 48 hours to your Cleared4 personal link.

      ·       If negative, you will retain your Access Pass.

      ·       If positive, your Access Pass will be removed, and you will be contacted by a Coronavirus Taskforce Liaison for guidance.

Your compliance with the process will be monitored.

Questions can be answered at www.adnas.com/CUNYhelp or William.Graffeo@qc.cuny.edu or Parmanand.Panday@qc.cuny.edu.
