 Vaccination Requirements

 
  • ​For Students

    • In accordance with New York State and CUNY mandates, students attending in-person or hybrid classes must be fully vaccinated and submit proof of vaccination by September 27, 2021, unless they have been issued an exemption by CUNY (CUNY Vaccine Exemption Form). Individuals with an exemption will need to test negative for COVID-19 on a weekly basis (read more under Testing).

       

      Students taking courses that are fully remote are not currently required to be vaccinated; however, all students taking remote classes who wish to visit the campus on or after October 7 for any reason must be fully vaccinated and have their vaccination documents approved in CUNYfirst prior to their visit.

      Students living in the residence hall or participating in an athletic contest within CUNYAC, ECC, or NJCAA Region XV conferences must be fully vaccinated in order to move in or participate, regardless of the instructional mode of their classes.

      To meet the submission deadline, students must receive the following vaccines by these dates:

      Moderna: first dose by August 26
      Pfizer: first dose by September 2
      Johnson & Johnson: single dose by September 23

  • ​For Faculty and Staff

    • Faculty and staff are encouraged to be vaccinated if they are working on campus. Those who are not vaccinated and wish to access the campus must test negative for COVID-19 within 7 days of their visit. (Read more under Testing).  

      RF employees will be notified to visit RFCUNY’s website and log in as an employee using their 6-digit RF-issued employee ID (EMP ID). Under the Electronic Tools tab, select Vaccination/Testing Program and follow the prompts.

  • For Other Visitors​

    • All visitors must provide proof that they are fully vaccinated or have had a negative COVID-19 test performed by an accredited lab no more than 7 days prior to their visit.   

      If you are inviting guest speaker(s), dignitaries, performers, perspective students, etc. to campus, please visit Campus Access for instructions on how to request approval for their visit.  

      A visitor is someone who is not a CUNY student, faculty, or staff member. Examples of visitors include, but are not limited to: vendors and contractors; employees of related entities of CUNY including without limitation auxiliary enterprise corporations, colleges associations, and child care centers; unpaid college interns; community members and other individuals coming to campus to use facilities such as pools and gyms, or to attend activities on campus; and family members or friends of CUNY students, faculty, or staff.

 Testing Requirements

 
  • ​For Students

    • Important: Negative COVID-19 test results will only be accepted until October 7, 2021

      unless you receive an exemption from CUNY.

       

      Students taking in-person or hybrid classes who have yet to submit proof of vaccination or for whom verification of their proof of vaccination is pending must be tested at a CUNY site no more than 7 days before accessing campus and must show proof of their negative results.  

       

      Students attending fully remote classes who visit campus for any reason and have yet to submit proof of vaccination or for whom verification of their proof of vaccination is pending may gain access by showing proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken at a CUNY testing center within seven days prior to your visit until October 7, 2021.

       

      Students who have received an exemption from CUNY must be tested at a CUNY site no more than 7 days before accessing campus and must show proof of their negative results for the entirety of the semester.  

       

      Only CUNY site testing will be accepted. Those who require testing will receive an email (to the address linked to their CUNYfirst account) from Cleared4/safeCircle to book an appointment to be tested. 

       

  • For Faculty and Staff​

    • All faculty and staff who have not submitted proof of vaccination or for whom verification of their proof of vaccination is pending must be tested at a CUNY site within 7 days of their visit in order to access campus and must show proof of their negative results.

 Testing Sites and Results

 
  • ​CUNY Testing Sites and Results

    • CUNY testing sites are located in all five boroughs. Participants using QC’s testing site, located in the Student Union, may enter via the Kissena Blvd./Melbourne Ave. gate. You will check in, receive a test kit, self-swab (under observation), and drop the kit in a lockbox.  

      Results will be available in 24-48 hours via the Clear4 system. Complete the email and phone information in your Clear4 profile in order to receive your results.  

      If a positive result is found, the individual will be told to immediately quarantine and report their exposure to the Campus Coronavirus Coordinator using this form.  ​​ ​​
