Research Interests
Physical & Biophyiscal Chemistry, Instrumental Analysis, Ionic Liquid Energetic Materials, and Computational Chemistry
Our research focuses on using various instrumental analysis approaches (e.g., mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, and guided-ion beam scattering) to probe biologically relevant processes in a spectrum of systems ranging from isolated, single biomolecules and radicals, through micelles and aerosols containing biomolecules, to biomolecule solution. We are also interested in reaction dynamics, kinetics and aerospace applications of energetic ionic liquids and nanomaterials. In addition, we have interests in computational chemistry including classical and quasi-classical molecular dynamics simulations, and kinetics modeling.
