Research Interests

Our research focuses on using various instrumental analysis approaches (e.g., mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, and ion-molecule reactions) to probe biologically relevant processes in a spectrum of systems ranging from isolated biomolecules, through micelles and aerosols containing biomolecules, to biomolecule solution. We are also interested in discovering and developing new analytical approaches. In addition, we have interests in computational chemistry (e.g. quasi-classical direct dynamics trajectory simulations) and nano-materials.

We are also interested in reaction dynamics, kinetics and aerospace applications of energetic ionic liquids and nano-materials. In addition, we have interests in computational chemistry including classical and quasi-classical molecular dynamics simulations, and kinetics modeling.
