Svetlana Lukyanovich

Svetlana Lukyanovich is a fashion designer and educator whose work is grounded in technical mastery. She holds a BFA in Fashion Design with Honors from Pratt Institute and a MA in Education and Instructional Leadership from Argosy University. She also has a comprehensive international education in fashion design and pattern making in both Belarus and Russia.

Lukyanovich has extensive fashion industry experience, working as an Activewear apparel designer at FILA USA for over a decade. She has designed global collections and worked on high-profile collaborations with brands and retailers including Urban Outfitters, Pierre Cardin, Disney, Nickelodeon, PacSun and Rowing Blazers. She has developed collections for international events including the 2024 Olympic Tennis Games and the BNP Paribas Open. She presently designs for Real Underwear, creating both lingerie and leisure apparel.

Alongside her professional practice, Lukyanovich teaches fashion design, tailoring, draping, patternmaking, construction, sewing, and computer design at Parsons School of Fashion and the Fashion Institute of Technology. She has also worked at the Pratt Institute, Katharine Gibbs School, and Wood Tobe-Coburn School.

Lukyanovich’s teaching philosophy centers on providing students with strong foundational and technical skills, employing contemporary industry methods including Clo3d and experimental patternmaking approaches. As a seasoned educator and industry expert, she is committed to preparing emerging designers to succeed in an evolving fashion industry.
