Some preliminary information is shared on this website and we will update it regularly to assist in preparing for your graduation ceremony.

If you have not registered for graduation, please click the button below to submit your information to the Commencement Events Team.

Cap & Gown Information

The deadline for reserving your Cap and Gown online was April 18, 2024 at 11:59 PM ET. Students who plan to participate in Commencement Ceremony 2024 still have an opportunity to purchase a cap and gown if you have not already done so. If you would like to make a purchase, you should attend one of the following dates & times listed below:

Wednesday, May 22 from 12:30 P.M. – 4:30 P.M. 

Thursday, May 23 from 4:30 P.M. – 6:30 P.M.

Tuesday, May 28 from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. 

Thursday, May 30 (Commencement Morning) from 7:00 A.M. – 9:00 A.M.  

Note: Be sure to bring cash or a credit card to make your purchase.

Guests

Graduates are welcome to bring an unlimited number of guests to attend their Queens College ceremonial events. All guests must be registered via EventBrite, and come to campus with their tickets to be scanned to enter campus. For Commencement registration, visit the Queens College Guest RSVP page to enter your details.

The ceremony will be live-streamed for remote guests. This site will be updated when the link becomes available.

Arrival on Commencement Day

We strongly encourage you to arrive early on Commencement day. You may enter through the following gates

  • Main Gate (Kissena Boulevard)
  • Gate 2 (Melbourne Avenue)
  • Gate 3 (Reeves Avenue)

To enter campus, graduating students should have their QC ID cards available. Guests must be prepared to show their Eventbrite ticket from a smart device or printed ticket.

Parking
Will be available for student graduates during ceremonial events. Students (and/or their guests) with state-issued ADA plates or hang tags may park at the Student Union Building, side-deck.

Street meter (paid) parking will be available on Melbourne Avenue and Reeves Avenue (check signage for hours and rates). We highly recommend taking public transportation, using a ride-hailing or taxi service, or being dropped off, as parking will be extremely limited and likely fill up fast.

RSVP

Procession begins at 9 am; students need to line up in their assigned assembly area at 8 am.  A confirmation email will be sent to you upon submission of the RSVP.

Senior Portraits 2024

When: Between the following dates:

April 15th and April 20th
May 6th – May 11th

Where:  Student Union, LL52 (The Lab)

Schedule your appointment at Prestige Photography.

Portraits will be taken in your Business Attire, and Cap & Gown.

Cap & Gown will be provided.

Note: Be sure to have your QC ID Card with you.

Diplomas

The degree conferral date listed on the Registrar’s web page indicates a student’s official academic record of when the degree was earned. Diplomas for fall/winter graduates will be printed and available in the beginning of spring which indicates a student’s official academic record of when the degree was earned.

Commencement Ceremony information will be sent to the email you have provided. Please make sure the Registrar’s Office has an updated address on file as all graduation and Commencement-related information, including your diploma, will be directed to this address.
