Our team is scheduling workshops for the upcoming academic year. Check back here for updated dates and session information. Once new workshops are announced, all students will be notified through their Queens College email, so please look out for communications from the Financial Aid Office.

We offer both virtual and in-person workshop sessions throughout the year to help students better understand the financial aid process and available resources. In the meantime, you can download materials from our previous sessions below.

FINANCIAL AID LITERACY SESSIONS

Join our sessions that dive deeper into specific financial aid topics. Each session is designed to help you understand the different aids we offer, so you can maximize your funding opportunities.

NYS AID: TAP AND EXCELSIOR EXPLAINED

Learn about the financial aid programs offered by New York State, including the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) and the Excelsior Scholarship.

We will cover eligibility criteria, application requirements, and important information about maintaining your award throughout your academic career.

FINANCIAL AID 101: UNDERSTANDING FEDERAL AID PROGRAMS

This information session offers a comprehensive overview of federal student financial aid, including the FAFSA application process, Pell Grants, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG), and Federal Work-Study opportunities.

We will walk through eligibility criteria, program details, and key deadlines to help participants understand the financial aid options available to support their educational goals.

UNDERSTANDING STUDENT LOANS: MAKING INFORMED BORROWING DECISIONS
