The mission of the Immigrant Student Support Initiative at Queens College is to aid immigrant students, regardless of their immigration status, with support as they navigate their collegiate journeys at Queens College from their first days of enrollment until their commencement ceremony.
Jennifer Jarvis
Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management
The Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, led by Vice President Jennifer Jarvis, supports and enhances student admission, enrollment, and in-classroom experience with co-curricular resources and programs such as health and counseling services, disability services, student housing, veteran student services, minority student affairs, the Child Development Center, student activities, and civic engagement.
Carla Cordova Farfan
Program Coordinator, Immigrant Student Support Initiative
Carla is a student affairs professional with experience developing, managing, and implementing successful education, human rights, and mental health initiatives. She holds an MA in Media Studies and Social Justice from Queens College. As a proud Latina immigrant, Carla understands firsthand the challenges students face in pursuing educational and professional opportunities and is committed to ensuring they have an exceptional collegiate experience at Queens College.
