QC’s Second Annual Assessment Showcase

On Friday, December 5, 2025, Queens College will hold its second-annual Assessment Showcase. The event provides an opportunity for the QC community to learn about the work of colleagues aimed at improving student learning, the student experience, and alumni outcomes. Departments are encouraged to present posters on their assessment practice, no matter where they are in the cycle of continuous improvement.

Excellence in Assessment Awards

New this year will be the first annual “Excellence in Assessment” Award. Two prizes will be awarded: One to an academic department or program and one to an administrative unit. Assessment Showcase attendees will vote for the award winners. Submit your poster (details below) for a chance to be considered.

Information about Posters

Last year we provided a consistent template for your posters. This year we are opening up the structure of the poster for every office across campus so that you can answer:  

What does assessment look like for you? 

We all use data and approach processes in different ways and we want to highlight the diversity of assessment practice throughout the college. 

In your poster, please discuss some or all of the following: 

• The goals for assessment in your department/office. 

• What you aimed to assess and why.

• The methods/measures you used.

• How this project is connected to:
  Your mission / learning outcomes / discipline / field / KPIs? 

• What you have done, are doing, will do with your data?
