Education: Post-Master's Advanced Certificate in Science Education (1-6)
For students who have completed their master’s degree and are looking for additional courses in elementary and early childhood education, the department offers 15-credit specialized programs that lead to a Certificate of Advanced Study in a specific field. The specific fields are: Early Childhood Education (Birth to Second Grade), Language Minority Education, Child Developmental Psychology, Science Education, Social Studies Education, Math Education, and Children’s Literature. To be admitted to any of these post-master’s programs, the student must have an earned a master’s degree and teacher certification. There is no GPA requirement. However, once in the program students are expected to maintain a B average. Interested students should contact the department office.

Requirements for Matriculation

These requirements are in addition to the general requirements for matriculation.​​
1. Applicants are required to hold a Masters degree.
2. Must provide a copy of Teaching Certification.
