–School Will Unveil Its Refurbished Track and Two Soccer Fields (Pitches) That Service Its NCAA Division II Level Athletes, NYC Public School Students, and Members of the Local Community–
WHAT: A ceremony featuring two ribbon-cuttings and photo ops to mark the completion of the college’s track and soccer field (pitch) renovation project. The $9.8 million project began in January 2021, with city and state funding. The school’s NCAA Division II level athletes use the soccer field for games, conditioning, and sport-specific training and for the college’s intramural events and physical education classes. Community groups use the field for soccer, track and field, and field day events.
