Transfer Explorer provides the most up-to-date information about how CUNY colleges transfer and apply credit for both CUNY and non-CUNY courses, as well as for other learning experiences, like exams and certifications.

  • Compare how one or multiple CUNY colleges transfer and apply credit for the same course or learning experience.
  • Identify how courses taken at one CUNY college satisfy program requirements in specific majors and minors at one or multiple CUNY colleges.
  • Compare how your CUNY courses, completed or in process, transfer to another CUNY college – if you are or have ever been a CUNY student.

The Summer/Fall 2025 Registration Toolkit is a collection of the most important information at QC. The information includes but is not limited to:

    • Important Academic Dates for the semester
    • Degree Requirements under the QC Core Curriculum
    • Summer and Fall 2025 Pathway and Writing Intensive Course Offerings
    • How to Register for Classes in CUNYfirst

To stay in compliance with QC academic policies, keep the following information in mind:

    • If you transfer in 75 or fewer credits, you must attain at minimum of 120 credits with at least 45 credits in residency
    • Your major must be declared by your 60th completed credit
    • If you are interested in a major that has entrance requirements/criteria, you must declare a closely associated major in the same department in the interim so that you do not lose your financial aid
    • Financial Aid requires that you take and complete at least 12 credits per semester of brand new (not repeated) coursework
    • The minimum cumulative grade point average to earn a QC baccalaureate degree is 2.0
