Preparing for Upcoming MCAT Exam

Year 2012 MCAT Exam and by year 2015 the MCAT exam may include some biochemistry, behavioral, and social sciences questions.  In order for the student to be prepared, suggestions are to include some of these classes in academic preparation and to complete these classes before taking the MCAT exam.  In addition, a good understanding of research design and statistical analyses may help to interpret biomedical literature.

For application year 2012 to enter 2013, half of the incoming students are likely to take the “old” MCAT and half the “new” 2015 MCAT.  Please go to https://www.aamc.org/students/applying/mcat/about/ and read the MR5 5th Comprehensive section for updates and current information.  Please read the MR5 preliminary recommendations document below, which outlines the proposed format of future MCAT Exams.
