Susan A. Davis is Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership (CETLL) and Professor of Music Education at the Aaron Copland School of Music. Davis has designed and facilitated faculty development initiatives focused on pedagogy, advising, career-connected learning, assessment, and instructional technologies. Prior to becoming director of CETLL, she served on the CETLL Advisory Board, QC Navigate Team, and as a Career-Infused Advising Champion. In these roles, she collaborated with faculty and administrative offices to develop resources, workshops, and programs that strengthen advising and teaching practices across the college. Additionally, Davis served as Standard IV Co-Chair for Queens College’s successful Middle States reaccreditation process and played a central role in the Aaron Copland School of Music’s achievement of initial accreditation by the National Association of Schools of Music in 2021. During her service as Provost’s Middle States Faculty Fellow, she created the Faculty and Departmental Advisor Hub.
Davis’s research on culturally responsive music education, praxis, and philosophy has led to multiple publications and international presentations, including contributions to the Bulletin of the Council for Research in Music Education, String Research Journal, Music Educators Journal, Visions of Research in Music Education, Journal of Music Teacher Education, Journal of General Music Education, American String Teacher, International Journal of Music Education, and the Oxford Handbook of Feminism and Music Education. In 2024, she was recognized with a President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in the School of Arts and Humanities. Davis holds a B.F.A. from Stony Brook University, an M.S.Ed. from Queens College, where she is a proud alumna, and a Ph.D. from New York University.
Jean Kelly
Instructional Technologist
Jean Kelly has been with CETLL since 2010, providing pedagogical and technical support for faculty in various instructional modes. She helps organize workshops to prepare faculty for teaching online and assisted faculty during the transition from Blackboard to Brightspace. In addition, she has created tutorials on Blackboard, Brightspace, Google Classroom; lecture capture; and other educational technologies. Jean received a Master of Library Science degree from the Queens College Graduate School of Library and Information Studies.

Christopher Coleman
IT Academic Technology Specialist
Chris Coleman joined CETLL in 2024, where he has assisted faculty with the college’s transition from Blackboard to Brightspace. Prior to his position at CETLL, Chris worked in the Dean’s Office of the School of Arts and Humanities, where he worked with faculty in a variety of areas, including online teaching, technology support, and reappointment and promotion preparation. He holds masters degrees in Urban Studies and Accounting from Queens College and a bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the University of Michigan.

Wayguard Wong
Brightspace Administrator
Wayguard Wong has been the LMS administrator at Queens College since 2020. He manages technical support and front-end administration of Brightspace, collaborating with Queens College Information Technology Services (QC ITS) and the Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership (CETLL) to advance faculty development and student-centered pedagogy. Leveraging his certification as a Brightspace Administrator and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, he combines analytical expertise with instructional technology skills to optimize platform functionality and user experience. His work supports the creation of engaging learning modules and empowers faculty through innovative, equitable, and effective digital solutions.

Meagan Sullivan
Administrative Coordinator
Meagan Sullivan joined CETLL in December 2024 as the Administrative Coordinator. She comes with 8 years of experience in video production as a production coordinator and project manager. Meagan assists with planning and coordinating CETLL events, workshops, programs, and projects. Meagan Sullivan received a B.A. in Digital Media Production from SUNY New Paltz in 2016.

Kareena Khan
College Assistant
Kareena Khan graduated from Queens College in 2024 with a B.F.A. in Design and joined CETLL later that year as a NTA + college assistant. She assists with creating and designing media for CETLL’s projects. Prior to CETLL, she worked with QC’s Academic Advising Center as a Peer Leader.
