Deirdre has wanted to be a librarian since her first job as a library page. Before fully pursuing that dream, she worked previously at the Long Island Children’s Museum, where she discovered her passion for engaging young audiences through learning and play.

She also worked as an editor for The Nassau Review, collaborating closely with emerging writers and helping to shape and support their creative voices. Shaping her path into children’s services feels like a dream come true, bringing together her two loves: books and fun.
