Student Union Temporary Closure
Student Union Update: Temporary Office Locations (as of March 9, 2026)
QC Knights,
I want to provide a brief update regarding the Student Union.
Work is ongoing as we address the building concerns and take the necessary steps to ensure the space is safe for our campus community. We appreciate your continued patience as this process moves forward.
To ensure continuity of services, the following offices and organizations have been temporarily relocated:
- Student Development and Leadership and the Knights Table Pantry & Armory are operating out of Kiely Hall, Room 119A & B.
- CUNY Citizenship Now is temporarily located in King Hall, Room 213.
- Hillel is temporarily assigned to Kissena Hall, Rooms 308 and 310.
- Veteran and Military Student Support is temporarily assigned to Kissena Hall, Rooms 315 and 319.
- Catholic Newman Center is temporarily assigned to Kissena Hall, Room 312.
- Knight News is temporarily assigned to Kissena Hall, Room 345.
- Student Association is temporarily assigned to Kissena Hall, Room 342.
- New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG) is temporarily assigned to Kissena Hall, Room 307.
- Muslim Student Association is temporarily located in Queens Hall, Room 10.
All offices and organizations will return to the Student Union once the work is completed and the building is cleared for full use.
Please note that the Student Union underground parking garage remains temporarily closed until further notice. To support students in need of parking during the building closure, alternative on-campus parking has been made available for the remainder of the Spring 2026 semester. A limited number of spaces are available at a rate of $148. For additional details, please contact the Department of Public Safety 718-997-5870.

Student Union Temporary Closure (February 10, 2026)
The Student Union will be temporarily closed while we address building conditions related to heating and water systems impacted by frozen pipes. These proactive measures are being taken out of an abundance of care for the campus community to ensure the building environment remains safe and comfortable for all occupants.
During this time, services normally provided in the Student Union will continue remotely, and some offices will offer limited in-person support through temporary pop-up locations elsewhere on campus. A separate communication will be distributed shortly outlining the various ways students, faculty, and staff can connect with the offices and services normally located in the Student Union, including remote options, locations, and hours of operation.
We are working closely with Campus Facilities and campus partners to resolve the matter as quickly as possible and will share updates on reopening as soon as they are available.
