Guarantee Your Graduation in Four Years

Welcome to the Academic Advising Center!

The Academic Advising Center is one of the many resources at Queens College committed to providing an educational environment focused on student success. Our advisors are dedicated in assisting current, new and returning students to reach their educational and career goals. It is suggested that students visit us at least once a semester to stay on track for graduation.

If you are current Queens College student:

Please download the QC Navigate App at to schedule an appointment. Please note that you can select one of the following meeting types for your appointment; virtual, in-person, phone, or eAdvising/email. Advisors will email you instructions prior to your session, as well all your advising documents after your session. Please always check your student email including the SPAM FOLDER as well as any other personal emails that are listed as preferred in CUNYfirst for a detailed message from your advisor.

If you are unable to find an available “academic planning” appointment, please check Navigate routinely as more appointments may become available. You should also refer to our same day appointment process outline below.

All appointments reserved through QC Navigate are for continuing students.

If you are an incoming Fall 2024 Transfer or Freshman:

Congratulations on your acceptance to Queens College!   We look forward to you joining the QC Community!

Next steps: Once you officially accept your offer to Queens College, and pay your commitment deposit (if applicable), the next step is to attend a “New Student Advising” (NSA) session.

Your NSA session is a virtual one-on-one meeting with an academic advisor to discuss your academic interests and plan for your first semester.

NSA sessions will begin in May and invitations will be sent mid-April. Invitations will be sent to your preferred email listed in CUNYfirst and will include a link to sign up for your individual advising session. Be sure to check both junk and spam folders (just in case!). If have any questions or concerns, please call the QC New Student Phone Line at (718) 997-5573 or email us at We look forward to meeting with you soon!

Same Day Appointment Process

The Academic Advising Center offers a limited number of same day virtual appointments to current Queens College undergraduate students (non-SEEK, non-ACE, non-Honors, etc.) who wish to have a quick (no more than 20 minutes) conversation with an advisor.

Same day appointments will be available on Navigate at or around 9:30AM on select days. When using Navigate, the type of appointment should be set to “Academic Advising”, and the service should be set to “Academic Advising Center – Same Day Appointment.” If no appointments are available, please try another day!

Do not use Navigate to schedule a same day appointment via the process above if:

  • you are a new freshmen or new transfer for the Fall 2024 semester (incoming fall 2024 transfer and freshman information can be found above).
  • you are currently on academic probation (instead use the “academic planning” service to schedule a full advising appointment).
  • you have already had advising appointment with the Advising Center during the current semester (email your previous advisor if you have follow-up questions).
  • you have a future advising appointment with the Advising Center already scheduled in Navigate.
