Modern Greek

Major in Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies

The major in Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies has a Greek language requirement. This major is not part of the European Languages and Literatures department, but rather the Center for Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies. Departmental courses in Greek literature may be used as part of a specialization within that program.

Minor in Modern Greek

15 credits in literature and language courses above the level of GRKMD 111. Nine credits must be taken in any Modern Greek course above level 203, including GRKMD 204, GRKMD 223, GRKMD 250, GRKMD 335, and also including GRKMD 41W.
