The Center for Jewish Studies is delighted to announce that Professor Elissa Bemporad and Professor Francesca Bregoli both in the History Department received tenure with a promotion to Associate Professor.

Professor Elissa Bemporad, the Jerry and William Ungar Professor of East European Jewish History at Queens College, was awarded an NEH Fellowship for Senior Scholars for the 2015 – 2016 academic year at the Center for Jewish History, NY in support of her new book project: Legacy of Blood: Jews, Pogroms and Ritual Murder in the Lands of the Soviets.
