Richard Killeaney is an Adjunct Lecturer at Queens College. Raised in San Diego, California, he received his BA in studio art from Hobart College and an MFA in Textiles from the Rhode Island School of Design. His specialties include textile construction, dye techniques, and apparel construction. He has taught textile design to students at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, The Rhode Island School of Design, and Fairfield University in addition to Queens College. His work has been exhibited in numerous gallery shows, including The New Haven Museum and the New Britain Museum of Art. He currently lives in Bridgeport, CT where he runs Ocheltree Design, his own line of quilts, home accessories, and small leather goods.
