Francois De Paul Silatchom received a PhD in Financial Economics/Econometrics from The Graduate Center of the City University of New York, a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Financial Economics from The Graduate Center of the City University of New York, a Master of Arts (MA) in Applied Economics from the University of Paris East (Paris-France), and a Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF) from the CQF Institute.

Dr Silatchom academic and research interests include the interconnection between financial markets and the real economy, financial risk and regulations impacting large U. S. financial institutions, financial engineering, fixed-income and interest rate, model risk management, application of machine learning and deep learning to financial data analysis.

Since 2005, Dr. Silatchom has been involved with the teaching of a variety of courses at Queens College, including financial econometrics, econometrics, corporate finance, statistics, money and banking, microeconomics, and macroeconomics.

Between 2009 and 2017, he was involved with the School for Graduate Studies at SUNY-Empire State College where he taught a range of courses with the MBA program, including financial management, investment analysis, quantitative methods in finance, macroeconomic for public policy, municipal finance, and strategic executive leadership. In addition, he undertook and coordinated a graduate program development initiative, the Master of Science in Finance (MS-Finance), from its conception to its administrative approval and implementation in 2017.
