Financial Aid

Several financial aid programs are available for graduate students at Queens College.

These include the Federal Work-Study Program, the federal Direct Loan and Perkins Loan programs, and for students in specific degree programs, the TEACH Grant.

Federal Work-Study

To be eligible for Federal Work-Study, you must file a FAFSA and receive a work-study award. Make sure to file for financial aid as early as you can, as work-study funds are limited. For further information on eligibility requirements and placement procedures, please visit our Federal Work-Study page.

Direct Loans

The federal Direct Loan program is available to students who have filed a FAFSA and meet the federal government's eligibility requirements. For complete details on the program, please visit the Direct Loan page.

Perkins Loan

The Perkins Loan is a campus-based loan awarded to both undergraduate and graduate students. As with Work-Study, the FAFSA must be filed early as funds are limited. To learn more about this program, please visit our Perkins Loan website.

TEACH Grant

The TEACH grant is available only to students in certain graduate education programs. Potential TEACH Grant recipients must file FAFSA and take several additional steps to be eligible. Full details on which programs qualify and the forms required are available on the TEACH Grant page.
