Semester Guidance – Campus Access

​All individuals wishing to access campus must submit proof that they are fully vaccinated (including updates to shots) or have tested negative for COVID-19 within the previous 7 days, in addition to following safety guidelines on distancing and masks. How do I gain access to campus if I am vaccinated?

Students

1. Upload vaccination information on CUNYfirst under “Vaccination Verification” in the main menu.

  • Students registered for in-person or hybrid classes must submit proof of vaccination by January 18, 2022. All other students should submit proof of vaccination at least 10 days before a planned visit to campus.
  • Student athletes and those living in the residence hall must submit proof immediately in order to participate in sports or to move in.
  • Students who have approved medical exemptions or religious exceptions must follow testing protocols in order to visit campus.

2. Once proof of vaccination is verified via CUNYfirst (may take up to 10 days), you may access campus by presenting:

  • QCard (Read more about obtaining a QCard under Status of Programs and Services) OR
  • If you are waiting for a QCard, you may present a Cleared4Pass AND complete a Proxyclick questionnaire at the Main Gate. Cleared4 access passes are sent via email and text to the accounts linked to your CUNYfirst account and/or to those you included when setting up your Cleared4 profile. For help resolving issues with your Cleared4Pass, visit the Cleared4 CUNY Support Desk for troubleshooting or to submit a new support ticket.​
  • *Everbridge VaxPass is no longer accepted for campus access.

3. Enter the Queens College campus at any one of the following locations. All of these entrances are equipped with QCard readers:

  • Main Gate on Kissena Boulevard
  • Gate 2 on Melbourne Avenue.
  • Gate 3 on Reeves Avenue
  • Campus-side entrance of Queens Hall.

Students from other CUNY colleges who wish to visit the Queens College library may make a reservation here: https://qc-cuny.libcal.com/. Do not submit a request for visitor access. ​

Faculty and Staff

1. Upload vaccination information on CUNYfirst under “Vaccination Verification” in the main menu. All full- and part-time faculty, non-teaching instructional staff (which includes NTAs, CLTs and those in the HEO series) and ECPs are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and must upload proof of vaccination into CUNYfirst no later than April 1, 2022 unless a religious or medical exemption has been approved. At this time, CUNY defines fully vaccinated as the two shots of Moderna or Pfizer, or the single shot of Johnson & Johnson, without boosters. Visitors

Request for visitor access must be made at least 5 business days prior to the visit. Before completing the steps below, please read the CUNY Covid-19 Visitor-Policy.

How to request visitor access:

  1. Ask visitors to self-register in the Cleared4 system in order to access the Queens College campus. (If they have a CUNY Access Pass from another CUNY institution, please skip this step.)
  2. Request visitor access by submitting a visitor request form online. This should be completed by the person inviting the guest to campus, not the guest.
  3. Visitors who are approved to visit the campus will receive an email from QCA20/Proxyclick with additional requirements and instructions on how to obtain an access pass.
  4. Once visitors meet vaccination and Proxyclick requirements to obtain an access pass, they may access the campus by presenting the access pass and a government-issued photo identification

How do I gain access to campus if I am unvaccinated/need to be tested?

Students

Important: Negative COVID-19 test results are only accepted if you have an approved exemption from CUNY.

  1. Book an appointment to be tested at a CUNY site. Check the email associated with your CUNYfirst account for an email from Cleared4/safeCircle with a link to setup your appointment. If you have not received a registration email, visit the Cleared4 CUNY Support Deskfor troubleshooting or to submit a new support ticket. (Read more about testing requirements.)
  2. Once you have been tested, it may take 24-48 hours to receive your results. Complete the email and phone information in your Cleared4 profile to avoid delays.
  3. Results will be sent to your email and/or phone via text. Only individuals with negative tests results will be allowed to access the campus.
  4. Enter the Queens College campus at any one of the following locations and present your Clear4 access pass/QR code:
    • Main Gate on Kissena Boulevard
    • Gate 2 on Melbourne Avenue. 
    • Gate 3 on Reeves Avenue, or
    • Campus-side entrance of Queens Hall.

Faculty with approved exemptions and Staff

Only CUNY-site test results will be accepted.

RF employees will be notified to visit RFCUNY’s website and log in as an employee using their 6-digit RF-issued employee ID (EMP ID). Under the Electronic Tools tab, select Vaccination/Testing Program and follow the prompts.
