The Political Science Department offers students the opportunity to earn academic credit while interning with elected officials, judges, lawyers, and non-profit organizations. This course combines real world experience with reading and written analysis. Students from any major are welcome!
Most of these internships are unpaid. CUNY students are eligible to apply for stipends through one of the Edward T. Rogowsky Internship Programs. They may also be able to get academic credit for certain internships completed as part of QC Service Corps. The New York State Senate and Assembly Internship Programs also provide a stipend, but those programs require students to work full-time in Albany during the spring semester.
If you would like to complete a political science internship, please fill out this form. If you have any other questions about internships, please contact the current Director of Internships, Prof. Keena Lipsitz at firstname.lastname@example.org.
