Students may also pursue national certification in behavior analysis. Both our ABA master’s and advanced certificate programs meet the behavior-analytic coursework requirements for those pursuing the BCBA pathway 2 eligibility route Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a certification provided by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board. Broadly, certifications attest to a particular level of skill, and many employers favor hiring individuals with certifications. In the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, the BCBA is considered the reputable certification. The BCBA credential is broad and not specific to working with any particular population or in any particular state.
Supervised Experience
While you are enrolled or after completing your coursework, you must also accrue 2000 hours of supervised experience. See the BACB guidelines for supervised experience and opportunities to accrue during your time at Queens College on the Supervised Experience/Fellowship tab.
**Note: To practice behavior analysis legally in New York State, you must also be licensed. See NYS licensure tab.
