About Accelerated ABA Master’s Program

Overview

Queens College offers an Accelerated Master’s Program Applied Behavior Analysis. The program allows undergraduate students to take graduate courses that can be applied toward both their undergraduate and graduate degrees. After earning their BA in Psychology, students in this program continue directly to complete their Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. Accelerated students who graduate with the BA in Psychology, maintaining a 3.0 GPA and at least a B in each of the graduate level courses will automatically be accepted into the ABA Master’s program for the following fall. This reduces the total time required to achieve the Master’s degree, allows students to pay undergraduate tuition for the 4 graduate courses, eliminates the gap that often arises between graduating with a BA degree and starting a Master’s program.

Who is this program for?

This program is for Queens College undergraduate psychology majors who have a strong interest in behavior analysis, a desire to have a master’s degree and to be both certified and licensed as a behavior analyst. Students may have experience working as a Behavior Technician or on campus at QC-ACES (SIBS Club, Horizons, Child Behavioral Health Clinic). This program is also ideal for students interested in research with a plan to complete a thesis during their graduate program.

What are the benefits?

— Students can complete 12 graduate credits as an undergraduate and pay undergraduate tuition. The 12 credits count towards the BA and the MA, saving time and money.

— Students can take advantage of work opportunities both on and off campus as a behavior technician and later to accrue hours towards certification and licensure. This process will begin earlier for accelerated students.

— Accelerated students who graduate with the BA in Psychology, maintaining a 3.0 GPA and at least a B in each of the graduate level courses and who apply to the ABA Master’s program, will automatically be accepted for the following fall. Application fees are waived.
