Arts Leadership Bootcamp
Arts Leadership Bootcamp is a School of Arts weekend intensive designed to teach college students about arts leadership and ways to expand upon their artistry through arts administration and tactical entrepreneurial skills. The aim of the program is to support CUNY students in gaining professional industry knowledge and cultivating executive-level skills to succeed in the arts sector post-graduation. This opportunity is currently open to students of all CUNY campuses.

Arts Leadership Bootcamp 2026
The QC School of Arts is proud to present the 2026 Arts Leadership Bootcamp, designed for students to learn what it means to be a professional in the arts from industry experts in various fields.
The Bootcamp will take place in person during the weekend of March 6th to March 8th, 2026 on the CUNY Queens College campus. Bootcamp activities will include panel discussions, meeting with experts in small groups for 1:1 feedback, workshops in branding and social media, and special events. Discussions will touch upon major relevant issues including diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), financial literacy, hybrid programming, multi-hyphenate careers, and more.
For now, the Arts Leadership Bootcamp is open to students from all CUNY campuses.
Students must be available for the entire weekend (Friday, March 6th, Saturday, March 7th, and Sunday, March 8th) to be selected as a participant, and the Bootcamp hours range from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm on Friday and Saturday and 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Sunday, with lunch and breaks included.
While there is a time commitment, the Bootcamp is free of charge for participants. (The costs will be covered by the Queens College School of Arts.)

Pitch Your Art
- This interactive session will demonstrate how to formulate a compelling “pitch” to present one’s ideas for performances, exhibitions, funding proposals, and other opportunities.

Interactive: Selling Your Art
- This interactive session will offer a comprehensive view of the essential steps needed to market their artistry. Students will gain practical insights, discover effective strategies, and uncover the tools to sell their art and book performances.

- This interactive workshop will offer students an in-depth look into shaping their social media channels and how digital marketing strategies and tools can be used in self-promotion in the arts.

- This session gives students insights and practical tips for navigating freelance work and creative business, empowering them to build sustainable and fulfilling arts careers.
