Internship Opportunities

The QC School of Arts internship program is an enriching opportunity designed to elevate students on their creative journeys. With the idea of bridging the gap between academia and professional practice, students are able to connect their arts learning with real-world experience at major arts organizations and cultural institutions throughout New York City! Through this internship program, students are able to gain new professional skills and specialized insight that will prepare them for various dynamic careers in the arts and entertainment industry.

Diversifying The Business of Art Business Program

Queens College students are invited to apply to the “Diversifying The Business of Art Business” program, a consortium between the Queens College School of Arts and Sotheby’s Institute of Art (SIA), the global leader in art business education. Two Queens College students will gain access to SIA one course in SIA’s Master of Art Business, Master of Art in Fine and Decorative Art in Design, or Master of Art in Contemporary Art, both in person and online for up to 3 credits, at no cost to students. Selected candidates will be required to enroll in ARTS 729. Individual Criticism/Problems. Hr. to be arranged; 3 cr. Prereq.: Permission of the MFA Committee.*

 

Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the arts. To be considered, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

 

  • Be a full-time graduate student at Queens College in any major or discipline.
  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
  • Submit a one-page statement outlining their career goals and their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the arts.
  • Include the contact information for two professional references.

 

The deadline to apply is December 4, 2023, 11:59 PM. Selected students will be notified the week of December 18, 2023.

* The work will consist of a particular topic or focus established between the individual student and a faculty member. It will not consist of work undertaken in either ARTS 721.1, 721.2, 721.3, or 721.4, or ARTS 722.1, 722.2, 722.3, or 722.4. May be repeated for credit.
