Elivia Bovenzi

Elivia Bovenzi Blitz is a freelance costume designer based in New York City. She received her MFA in Design from the Yale School of Drama and holds a BS in Musical Theater from Russell Sage College. Elivia has worked as an assistant costume designer on Broadway shows including: My Fair Lady, Fiddler on The Roof, War Paint, Incognito and The Father. Over the course of her career, she has worked at Yale Repertory Theatre, Lincoln Center, Manhattan Theatre Club, The Public Theater, Two River Theater, Hartford Stage, Barrington Stage Company, Berkshire Theatre Group, Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, New York Shakespeare Exchange, LaMaMa, Ars Nova, NYU, and Troy Foundry Theater. Elivia is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Theater Design at CUNY Queens College, where she has been teaching since 2018. She teaches DRAM 111 Intro To Theater Design and DRAM 214 Costume Design I. Her costume designs for the DTD department at Queens include An Octoroon, and Machinal.
