ANNOUNCING AUDITIONS FOR FALL 2025
All Queens College students are welcome to audition for DTD productions. You do not have to be a major or minor to audition, but please note that all non-majors and minors must register to participate in the course credit associated with the production. This is an experiential learning course, and not an extra curricular activity. For those seeking extra curricular and club activities, we encourage you to engage with the wonderful student clubs associated with our department.
 
 
FALL PLAY THE BAKKHAI AUDITIONS
Auditions for the Fall Play, Anne Carson’s THE BAKKHAI directed by NJ Agunwa are on Wednesday and Thursday September 3 and 4, 2025, and callbacks will take place on Friday September 5. The auditions will be held from 5:30-9:30PM in the Goldstein Theater. A sign up link for audition slots will be posted the week before the audition. 
 
 
TO PREPARE FOR THE AUDITION: The director has requested that you prepare a short  (less than 5 minute) monologue of your choosing, and an a cappella song if you are comfortable singing (it can be something as simple as “Happy Birthday”). This play also has roles for dancers, and dancers are encouraged to audition.
 
 
FALL 2025 DANCE CONCERT AUDITIONS
Auditions for the Fall Dance Concert are on Tuesday Sept. 2 and Wednesday Sept 3, 2025. The Fall Dance Concert is a semester long course that culminates in performances in Goldstein Theater on December 4-7, 2025. Dancers can be cast in one or two works (for 3 credits total).
At the audition you will be learning choreography, so come prepared to dance.
