The Journals & Ellis and Messina Catalogs

Bringing nearly 90 years of service to our profession.
“Discovering the past through micropaleontology & stratigraphy
to better understand our changing world.”

The Micropaleontology Press Foundation Inc.

The Micropaleontology Press is a non-profit organization, with the mission of promoting micropaleontology through publication, education, and public outreach and is located on the Queens College (CUNY) campus.
The Press began nearly 90 years ago and has evolved into a foundation that publishes two peer-reviewed journals: Micropaleontology and Stratigraphy. It also publishes the world renown catalogs for foraminifers, ostracods and diatoms, which are tiny fossils used by geologists to calculate the geologic age, interpret past environmental changes, as well as determine climate changes from thousands to millions of years ago.
We routinely employ 1 to 2 Queens College work study students at our head office in Kissena Hall (across the street from Gino’s Pizza), allowing them to garner real-life experience in the fields of geology and computer science. Undergraduate students interested in working for us, contact Dr. Pekar (Stephen.pekar@qc.cuny.edu) for more information.
We invite you to look through the Micro Press’ website (https://www.micropress.org/index.html) and explore what we have to offer you.
