Transfer Credit Evaluation
Viewing Your Evaluation
Admitted students can access their Transfer Credit Evaluation through CUNYfirst.
Submitting Transcripts
- Transferring from outside CUNY? You must submit an official transcript from each institution you attended for your transfer credit evaluation.
- Please send the outstanding transcript to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at transcripts@qc.cuny.edu. Official electronic transcripts must be sent directly from your previous institution.
- If submitting a paper transcript, it must arrive in a sealed envelope.
What Qualifies for Transfer Credit
- Courses completed with a minimum grade of C- at an accredited, degree-granting U.S. or international institution
- Any passing grade from a CUNY college
- Pass/fail courses only if the official transcript confirms the passing grade equals a C- or better
Good to Know
- Courses evaluated as “499” are generally treated as electives and won’t count toward major or minor requirements without department approval
- Transfer credits posted on CUNYfirst cannot be deleted, but departments can reevaluate courses if needed
- While there’s no cap on the number of transfer credits awarded, students must still complete at least 30 credits at Queens College to receive a degree.
How to Request an Evaluation
- Complete the Transfer Evaluation Form — you’ll need to obtain a signature from each relevant academic department before submitting
- Email the completed, signed form to admissions@qc.cuny.edu
