To get started, follow these steps:
Step 1: Applying to Queens College
- Apply to Queens College as a regular student. If you are a veteran, indicate your status for potential fee waivers.
- Upon acceptance you must complete and submit your Immunization records prior to registration.
Step 2: Incoming Freshman/Transfer
Are you Freshman?:
After accepting and committing to QC please visit: Incoming Freshmen – “Know B4U Go” – Academic Advising Center and complete the 10 steps before your freshman advising and registration session.
Are you Transfer Student?:
After accepting and committing to QC please visit: Incoming Transfers – “Know B4U Go” – Academic Advising Center and complete the 10 steps before your transfer advising and registration session.
- Get a new COE: If you have previously used VA education benefits at another institution (Chapter 33, 35 & 1606) , please submit a new VA Form 22-1990 to update your education benefits and designate Queens College as your current school of attendance. “Update your current benefit, Program or Place of Training“
For all Incoming Freshman/Transfer
Fill out, save and send the following forms before moving to step 3
- Completed “Initial Intake” form
- Completed “Student Responsibilities” form
- Certificate or Eligibility (COE) from the VA
- Proof of service (DD-214, VA ID, Military ID, etc.)
- To request your Joint Services Transcript (JST)
- All documents should be send to the office by clicking the button to the right.

Step 3: Academic Advisement
- For academic advising and transcript-related questions, please contact our Academic Advisor, Alexandra Venezian, at Alexandra.Venezian@qc.cuny.edu or schedule an appointment through Navigate.
Step 4: Request to Certify your Enrollment
- Visit our GI Bill page to request certification for the semester you plan to use your VA education benefits.
- If you have questions about your VA education benefits or your enrollment certification, contact our School Certifying Official (SCO), Carlos Garzon, at carlos.garzonacevedo@qc.cuny.edu or schedule an appointment through Navigate.

- AMS: The system activates your QC Username and allows you to change its password. Once activated, you will have access to various on-campus services, including: Computer labs, my QC, ID card, and student VIP page.
